Makroulakis Michalis
Michalis Makroulakis (1940–2023) was born in Ermoupolis, Syros, and moved to Athens in 1957. He studied scenography, costume design, and painting under prominent artists like Yiannis Tsarouchis and Spiros Vassiliou. Throughout his career, he worked as a scenographer in numerous theaters in Athens, while his paintings were exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. His time in Iran (1971-1978) deeply influenced his work, particularly through exposure to miniature art and Eastern culture
