He was born in Athens, on March 20, 1926. He was from Santorini.
From 1948-1952 he studied at the School of Fine Arts (ASFA). He apprenticed with important representatives of the artistic movement of the Munich School (a.k.a academic realism) such as Dimitrios Biskinis and Andreas Georgiadis.
His teacher also was Professor Umbertos Argyros, of the Impressionist school. In the diploma examinations of ASFA, in 1952, he received an award for his work titled "Portrait", oil on canvas 80x60 cm.
In 1963, he continued his studies in Paris with a scholarship from the French government.
He died in Athens on November 1, 1999, at the age of 73.
