Maria Papachristou was born in Athens. She studied painting at the School of Fine Arts with teachers N. Nikolaou and G. Mavroidis. Also she studied ceramics with G. Georgiou. She was involved with ceramics in parallel with painting. She taught art in secondary education. She held 7 solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions.
