She then returned to Greece to pursue her dreams in the creative world where her talent evolved during her studies. Amanda, spent 8 years studying and working in graphic design in her hometown, Athens.
After graduating from the T.E.I of Athens, she expanded her skills and knowledge by joining the world of advertising. After gaining some work experience she decided to fulfil a life-long ambition to study and work in the UK. She embarked on a year and a half long stint in London, completing an MA in Graphic Branding & Identity at the London College of Communication whilst also building her portfolio through her freelance clients.
After her brief stay in London, she returned to Greece to resume working in advertising and is now a Senior Art Director at Ogilvy & Mather Athens. She speaks English and Greek fluently, her French needs a little brushing up but it's conversational and her Arabic is just enough to get her by.
Alongside being a graphic designer, she is also an emerging artist inspired by the ability to bring together creativity through tradition, culture and the arts. She has been an upcoming artist and designer for as long as she can remember. She expresses her simple inventions in surreal ways in an attempt to showcase her voice and distinct style, turning her creations into a statement interpreted through art.
Her work reflects her environment, her identity and her visual language that define her as a Greek-Egyptian artist influenced by her culture and heritage.
