"Photography is the most tangible way to live in the world you dream of." With these words, Clio Psaraki describes her relationship with photography, a field she has been involved with, as she herself says, "from a previous life..."
Born in 1975 in an Athens that bears no resemblance to the one of today, she seeks in her work the subject, the contrast, and the intensity that will provoke in the viewer an effortless, inner joy or a spontaneous, instinctive contemplation.
In capturing her subjects, a hidden image of this world is revealed, through simple elements of nature that transform into striking works of art.
Since 2020, she has been focusing on creating photographic works taken both in Greece and abroad.
She says about her work:
"Traveling in the most primitive way I can endure, I discover how even the humblest element of nature can be transformed into a striking work of art...
My wandering between diverse images, in places both familiar and distant, among flowers, dry grasses, rivers, and rocks, and my direct contact with the Mother of us all, is my inspiration and guide on this wonderful journey of artistic exploration and creation.
"Each of my images is an ode to the hidden truth that quietly waits for us to recognize and admire it, so it can transform into a unique treasure.
I hope you enjoy every moment of this magical transformation."
